Juha Kujanpää (b.1974) is a Finnish composer and musician who operates in the area between folk music, jazz and rock. His most recent works include three instrumental albums “To Where My Wings Will Take Me” (2017), “Goldwing” (2015) and "Tales and Travels” (2013). Some of his compositions from last years, ranging from Nordic folk to jazz, have been released on albums like "Ikiranka" (2020), ievins/Kujanpää: "Koivu" (2018) and Karuna: Tuulispää (2016).
Kujanpää is composing music for theatre and short films. He works as a performing musician and plays piano and keyboards in Teija Niku Quartet, Captain Cougar, Ville Ojanen & Kameleontti and improvisation theatre Häpeämättömät. His own band Juha Kujanpää Ensemble was nominated as the Band of the Year of Kaustinen Folk Music Festival 2014. More information: www.juhakujanpaa.com
