Bio

Anna Huuskonen (born in 1983) is a composer living in Helsinki. She likes really low bass sounds, Chef’s Table (the Netflix series), flamenco dancing, singing in choir, singing while cooking, singing while walking outside, singing all the time.

Huuskonen studied composition in the Sibelius Academy with Veli-Matti Puumala and in the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) with Frédéric Durieux. Her music has been performed by ensembles such as NeoQuartet, Uusinta Ensemble, Zagros Ensemble, Sibelius Academy Vocal Ensemble and Latvian Radio Chamber Singers at festivals such as Klang - Copenhagen Avantgarde Music Festival, Musica nova Helsinki and Time of Music. Besides concert music, she has composed music for short films and theatre. Huuskonen works as a producer at the Sibelius Academy of Uniarts Helsinki.
